Welcome back to the 2025 school year at Edney Primary School. We have had a wonderful start with all children settling in well to their new classrooms and routines. A special welcome to all new parents and students we hope that you have a happy and productive experience at Edney Primary School.

School Start time and Duty of Care

Just a reminder that children should not be arriving at school until the gates open at 8:20am. All children who arrive without an adult need to remain in the under covered area until they are dismissed, and classrooms open at 8:30am. Children who arrive with an adult may not enter the grounds until 8:20am and must stay with the adult until the classrooms open at 8:30am.

Parent Information Sessions

Mobile Phones/Wearable Devices

Parents are asked to read the school’s mobile phone policy, which is available on the school website at

Parents who wish their child to bring a mobile phone or wearable device to school are asked to complete the Parent Permission Form from the school administration or print from the school website.

School Board – Nomination for Parent Members

We currently have positions available on our school board. If you wish to nominate for a position please email me at Rebecca.Coslani@education.wa.edu.au by 4:00 pm, 21 February, 2025. If you wish to discuss the role of school board with me I am happy to meet with you, please make an appointment through the front office. Please note that if elected on to the school board you will be expected to complete training, this is provided during our board meetings. Meetings are held once a term, on Tuesday evening in Week 5 and run from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm. Parents are advised that if there are more nominations than positions this will go to vote.

P&C

We had our first P&C meeting last night for 2025. We welcomed new members, making plans for the term ahead.

Thank you to the P&C for donating the funds to purchase hats for all our Kindergarten children. They look awesome!
