We have had a great start to Term 2. It has been wonderful to see all students engaged in their learning and building positive relationships with others. Our school website is constantly being updated; our focus has been to show our students engage in their learning. Our PBS focus for the last two week has been We let our classmates learn.

Colour Run

Our Colour Run at the end of last term was a huge success. Thank you to the P&C members for all your work leading up to, and on the day. Thank you to our parents and community members who helped on the day and came down to support the children. It was a great way to finish off the term.

School Security

We will be locking all the gates around the school starting at 3:10pm/2:45pm (Wednesday). To assist we ask that you leave the school grounds once you have collected your children. If you are still on the grounds after this time due to a parent meeting, you will need to exit the school via the office.

Edney Commendations

We would like to recognise students who achieve outstanding achievements in their out of school pursuits. This may include things such as being asked to join a development squad e.g. Perth Glory, Australian Tennis, selection in Junior Short Course Swimming Championships or athletics, representing WA in dancing or cheer. If your child achieves this sort of recognition this year, please email the school so we can also recognise their achievements.

WA Student Assistant Program

To help ease cost-of-living pressures on families with school-aged children, a second round of the WA Student Assistance Payment is now available. This payment is to help you get the things you need for your kids. From new school shoes, backpacks and sports equipment to uniforms, healthy meals, school excursions and more.

Claim through the ServiceWA app or visit http://education.wa.edu.au/wasap for other claim methods. Each student’s 8-digit WA student number (WASN). You’ll find it on school reports or previous NAPLAN results. If you cannot locate the WASN, contact us directly. Claims close Friday 4 July 2025

Voluntary Contributions

A huge thank you to the families that have paid their voluntary contributions this year. We encourage all our families to make this payment as all the monies go directly to supporting your child’s education. Progress payments are welcome and can be paid at the School Administration or by direct deposit into the school bank account.
